do you spray tan men?
yes! however, i do ask that all men has a form of underwear or disposable on during the service.
what should i wear during my spray tan?
always dark, loose, old clothing. you don’t want any extra friction on the skin during development, and why ruin your nice clothes??
how long does the appointment take?
the service takes between 15-30 mins, our initial consult will be done over the phone to give more time and attention to the tan.
how long will my tan last?
This depends on several factors including your skin type, skin cycle, lifestyle, and care. It should last for a minimum of 5 days and has the potential to last as long as 10+ days. The best thing that you can do to increase the longevity of your tan is to apply moisturizer once a day. Also, try to avoid activities that speed up your skin’s natural exfoliation process. Keep in mind that long showers/baths, hot tubs, heavy sweating, and swimming in salt water and/or chlorine all tend to dry out your skin.
will my spray tan protect me from the sun?
no! wear sunscreen.
can i get a spray tan while sunburnt?
this depends on how old the burn is. if its past the 2 week mark, this is something we can discuss as far as potential peeling, discoloring, etc. i will not spray a fresh burn, let your skin heal.
is getting a spray tan safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women?
According to the American Pregnancy Association, studies on DHA (active ingredient) indicate it is safe, but some health care providers encourage women to wait until after the first trimester, just to play it safe. Even if you have been spray tanned before, try a patch of skin first. Your skin may be more sensitive and irritable during pregnancy. When in doubt always ask your doctor for an approval before making an appointment.
how many days before an event should i get my tan?
You will want to tan about 2 days before your event. For brides, we suggest tanning 2-3 days before the big day. Going on vacation? Tanning the day before leaving is best!
